Annieville Blues has been playing a piano since the tender age of 5. Her musical roots and inspiration began with experiencing boogie woogie and blues pianists on radio and television in the 1960’s. Born in Los Angeles, California on January 16, 1960, Annieville was 11 years old when her family moved to a farm in Oregon. Her parents soon made sure she had piano lessons, no easy task at the time in the small town of Grants Pass! She worked with several teachers throughout her childhood who nurtured her talents and love for the piano. Annieville was performing music professionally by the age of 14. She went on after high school to study at the prestigious Cornish Institute in Seattle where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in music performance and composition. In Annieville’s 20-year blues career, she has shared the concert stage with national blues legends Cash McCall, Big Joe Duskin, Lee Oskar, Pinetop Perkins, Maria Muldaur, Angela Strehli, Little Bill and the Blue Notes, Duffy Bishop, Too Slim, Cephas and Wiggans, Big Jack Johnson, Alice Stuart, Tracy Nelson and Gaye Adegbalola & Saffire - The Uppity Blues Women. Annieville has headlined in Northwest and U.S. national festivals, EMP (Experience Music Project), National Folklife, Port Townsend Blues Festival, Augusta West Virginia Heritage Blues, Bumbershoot, Swinomish Blues, Seattle Peace Concerts, many winery festivals, Ritzville Blues, Earth Day, Art on the Green Idaho, New Orleans Piano Night, Blues Boogie Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio, many State Fairs throughout the West Coast, and Raven’s “Jam for Cans”. Annieville is a recording artist, currently signed with Raw Records, Port Angeles, WA and Blackwing Studios in Marysville, WA. Her recordings include: |

Annieville performs both as a soloist and with her band in major clubs, festivals and benefits throughout the U.S. and Europe. When she is not performing, Annieville teaches workshops on Blues and Boogie Woogie styles, inspiring young students to become blues and jazz musicians through her jam sessions and private teachings. She maintains a private student practice in the Seattle area. She continues educational performances and assemblies for schools throughout the NW. This has earned her the title of Mother Goose of the Blues. In 1996, Annieville wrote and published a beginner’s book for piano titled Music Sprouts.
